I've been a reader as long as I can remember. In fact I cannot remember a time when I wasn't able to read. When I found fan fiction on the Internet, I was instantly hooked.

I've read all kinds of books and fan fiction. Some of the fan fiction is very, very good, some of it mediocre, some of if just OK, and some of it just truly awful.

So who am I to be giving anyone advice on writing? Well, first I'm someone who has tried writing. I found writing to be a painful, slow, and frustrating experience. So, I guess I can say, "Been there, done that." I've taken more than one writing class and I have 40 plus years of experience as a reader. Take my advice for what it is, advice from an amateur enthusiast, with good intentions.

Anyway I think that what I’m going to do with this journal is to find interesting information about writing and post it here.
